When you have a frenum piercing, are there any issues with getting through airport security?

I just got a frenum piercing on 6/5/08. I have a trip planned to fly from Denver to Baltimore on 7/20. Will I have any issues going through airport security? Should I tell them before I go through the metal detector that I have a genital piercing? Any advice to avoid issues would be helpful. Thanks.

I have 26 piercings. While none of my genital piercings are fitted with surgical steel, the vast majority of my other jewelry is.

I have gone through two sets of airport security and the local courthouse's metal detectors without a peep. Even at Six Flags, I don't set off the detector. You should be fine.

Lol I really don't know if there's going to be a problem...I have to genital piercings myself but haven't traveled since I got them... let me know how it goes!!

I am a woman, but I think it goes the same way. I travelled from Italy to the UK with a genital piercing and nothing went off! I was so nervous! I wouldn't have liked getting undress in front of a complete stranger, probably a man! OMG no! Don't worry, you'll have no problems.

Before you go through, just flop it out so that they can clearly see that it is no threat, and let you through. They may even want to take photos of it!
