  1. Yes, but you need to submit comparable ads to support why your refusing their offer.

  2. Get details of what similar cars are selling for on eBay, and in your local papers and magazines.

Stress the fine condition of yours, tell them this amount will not buy them a low mileage example like yours!

  3. Yes you can, I did. I printed copies of all local sales for my particular car, with the same reg, age, condition etc, and sent it over the the insurer arguing that my car was worth more than they were offering.

  4. NO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO EXCEPT THEY WILL TRY TO GET AWAY WITH THE CHEAPEST QUOTE THEY CAN , HAGGLE WITH THEM

  5. Before anything else, BE REALISTIC. Check the value of similar cars for sale on Autotrader, or price yours up at http://www.parkers.co.uk .

Remember, they won't offer money for flash hi fi, paint job or wheels unless they're insured seperately.

Email me make, exact model & mileage & I'll give you a price.

I've seen posts from people who think their cars are rare or limited editions - this means nothing, unless you have agreed value insurance, with a value in writing, your car is worth market value.

  6. they will offer a low amount first, get your facts right first then phone them up and complain,  its worth a try
