Do you still have the attacks all the times or like once a year or something like that. Well I have panic attacks and they last for a while and go away. Then, I'll be clear of them for like a year and they come back.. is this normal? Also I always feel like I'm on the verge of getting an attack but its just some anxiety and doesn't get that far to a panic attack. Is this normal. Also I suppose stress can make my period come late right because I have like a month and a half that I don't get it. Well, any advice or has anyone felt or had this problem.

  1. Yeah, it is normal. I'm the same, I went through a stage a couple of years ago, that my panic attacks were so bad I could hardly leave home without feeling panicky. After that I have been without one for several months, but for some reason in the last month I've been having them again.

  2. have you spoken to a therapist yet?  That would be a good start, quite possible that you may only need to take antidepressants for a period of time.

    Here is a website on depression, anxiety attacks;

    www.depressionandanxietypain.com.

    Hope that helps,

    SL

  3. coping skills and conentration excercise

  4. Usually panic attacks are associated with depression. I have severe depression and panic attacks. I have the frequently. Any time I get under stress I get them. Or just some times being around other people causes me to have them.

    I have been having them for six years sense I was mugged and hurt. I to not want to leave the house either. In fact I never do leave, except to go to the doctor. I am totally bedridden

    I am going the day after Labor Day to the Hope Center that Dr. Phil has sent many people to with problems like I have. It is in Seattle, WA. They treat the mind, body and spirit. I am praying this is going to help me get over my panic attacks. No one knows how bad they are unless they have experienced them

    btw = you do not have to feel depressed to be depressed. Sometimes you can be an not know it

    Good luck to you. I hope you will get a good therapist and get help soon or it will get worse.

  5. Ive had panic attacks since I was about 10 years old and as frequent as about 2 a week from ages 14 to 18 but now that Ive eradicated the inital cause for them they have gradually got less and less and now my last one was 2 months ago.

    (im now 19)

    My periods have been irregular since I started them. But I have had ALOT of stress

  6. I havent had that problem but my sister has. She gets panic attacks easily and shes gets them offten but its more anxiety. I think its normal everyone gets them. The part when you sais stress can make a period late im not sure about that part.

  7. well I have an anxiety disorder so I tend to get anxiety attacks when I dont take my medication which is hard now that I am pregnant. I hate being alone but I love being at home which makes it difficult. I always had neices/nephews or my little sister around but they start school tomorrow so I am really nervous about being home alone tomorrow while my husband is at work.. To me that is what anxiety is.. If you are feeling anxious you feel on the verge of an anxiety attack and if you scare yourself about something negative you end up getting that attack.. Stress can definitley make your period late, its probably more common that a missed period because of pregnancy!! Don't feel bad. I really dont have any advice because my anxiety has been horrible since I found out I was pregnant 5 months ago and I really just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Just try to breathe when you feel an attack coming on.. Breathe deeply and take a bath and relax if at all possible!
