  1. No, If you play for a club, you sign a agreement that if your injured you have no claim on the club. The only way is to take out personnel Insurance cover.

  2. If you bothered to do the forms (and probably fees unless you play for a pro team) you should be insured. You should be insured playing at school as well if it is a proper organised match/lesson.

  3. You cannot claim anything in the sport,  However Your club should take insurance for you in case of fatal injury or major injury resulting in paralysis.

If you want to claim for loss of earnings for Minor injuries I.E...   Broken Legs, arms, Ligament damages, etc In would be best for you to take out personal sports insurance.

The good thing about amateur sports is in most cases if you dont have insurance your club and teamates will do a whip round regularly for you.

In cases where major injuries occur and Insurance sometimes isnt enough to cover the funds needed uasually the whole league and sporting community will chip in together to help you out as much as possible.    In one case in my league a man who suffered serious neck and spinal injuries had his mortgage saved by the genoristy of his rugby league brothers all over the country.

  4. if you play for a club and you pay yearly membership that go towards insurance and you should be able to claim on it

  5. Most clubs should insist you sign a registration form before each season begins, basically accepting any injuries you pick up are at your own risk. Some may cover you on club insurance, but for that to be the case, your annual club subscription would undoubtedly be substantially higher. Your best bet would be personal injury insurance, but I'm guessing it's a bit late for that now...

  6. Yes you can claim that you knew the rules of rugby and that there is i STRONG possibility that you would get hurt, and put it down to experience!!!

  7. Generally not - if you have personal insurance then probably - but I would suggest you either change to a club that will help you to play better and be injury free - or give it up.

  8. Only if you have personal injury insurance
