When you look at my 18 week 3d ultrasound , you can see parts. Do you think you see girl or boy parts?

Question

The baby has one leg lifted slightly. You can see some 'parts' however; I am not sure what gender it would be. Do you think it is a girl or boy? Perhaps you have had an ultrasound that you could compare it to? We were at a clinic which would not disclose gender - silly rules.

i have heard that the testicles don't decent until like 22+ weeks, so i'm guessing that's a v****a, but it looks swollen. so maybe i'm wrong and it could be his testicles, and his p***s is hidden.

do you have any other pics of that area??

i had an ultrasound when i was 19 weeks and only seen a p***s, and also i had one when i was 23 weeks, and still only seen a p***s.  (but neither were 3D of that area, we only did 3D of his face)

definately a boy!!! it has s*****m. My scan showed three white lines and a smooth perineum and the sonographer said it was a girl

its a boy!!!!! and i hope u were hoping for one.. i have a boy and i can easily tell that the private parts resemble a boy!!! best of luck

Hi!  First, congratulations!  The angle is pretty difficult... not a good shot.  Usually, with girls, you see three distinct lines.  This LOOKS like a s*****m to me, but can't really tell in that position.  You'll probably find out if you get your regular scan at 20 weeks through your OB.  :)

PS- In general, if you go to a privately owned ultrasound facility, they are not medical practioners, so they can't tell you the s*x of your child for legal reasons... nothing "diagnostic".  :)

sorry it still could be either... you see the girls area is swollen too. at least at birth it is and i've herad in there too my duaghter came out with just huge parts,,, my poor hubby was so scared... but it could be either ... sorry

Like the first poster said - it looks like a s*****m. However, it could be part of a labia - in fetuses the labia tends to be larger. It's hard to tell.

Maybe you could bring it to your doc and they could help you?

I really couldn't tell ya that, but since it's rather large I would guess it's a s*****m and you're having a baby boy.  It's tricky though because we don't have a front view.  I agree with the person who suggested bringing it to your doctor and asking him/her what they think of it. hmmmm....I don't know, it looks like it could be a s*****m, but I have only seen a s*****m on 3d. I have never seen a v****a on 3d.

yeah its probably a boy that's what it looks like. I found out what I was having at 15 weeks and 5 days . well I hope you enjoy being pregnant because I do. Well Good luck.

I'd guess boy but don't quote me 100%, because it could be the labia and just be swollen.... sorry really bad angle:(

That looks like a boy "part" to me. Girls "parts" are hard to see if its from the side.

it's really hard to tell because the girl parts are very swollen , i wouldn't say anything you need a better pic..

i'd say a boy... I am no expert but that is what it looks like to me. I have one son and one daughter. with a little girl, all you see is 3 little lines and for a little boy you see what looks like a turtles head sticking out it's shell.. do you have any other pic where the legs are opened all the way??? Good luck. And why have I heard of so many places that will not tell the gender?? I've never heard of that.. To me, if the parents want to know, then they should tell huh?? lol.. I WOULD say a boy, but i thought the testicles didnt decend til later. All i saw on my 21 weeks ultrasound was the p***s. Though i didnt have a 3d ultrasound either.

i really think it is a boy i would think that was a "sack" rather than a "lip"

aaahhh.....i am not sure what that is i cant make out it clearly
