When you look at the stars do you ever think how many others are looking at the stars with you?

Do you ever wonder, when your looking at the stars how many others are also looking at them too.

Or Wonder what there thinking?

Yes and I look at lots of stars. I'm currently working on a single image of s small part of the galactic centre with 60,000 stars!

Do they wonder about me? Are they worried about the problems in the world and want peace?  Who's seeing this sky for the last time? The first time?

And then I wonder about all the people who stood on the same spot and gazed upwards through ALL of human time. I try to imagine what it was like when there were no parking lot lights right over the dunes "washing out" all but the brightest stars.

I remember reading that, at one time;) not long ago, you could actually see by starlight even if the moon wasn't up.

I think I remember this from childhood  (I'm old:) I DO remember seeing the Milky Way in our back yard.

And then , it helps me to realize, there are STILL a few places on earth where this is possible. I hope I get to see them again. If not, there are still the memories and the hope that, if not me, perhaps YOU will someday stand in my spot  and see them for me:)
