  1. Yah, you butter the outsides of the sandwich.  Butter the last side when you've put it in the skillet.  For killer grilled cheese, sprinkle the butter with a little bit of parmesan cheese.

  2. I just butter the bread slices....that way the butter is even...a trick I learned from a friend eons ago...she always placed a small plate on her grilled cheese while it was cooking to help make better contact with the heat....Ive done it that way since...the bread always comes out evenly browned....

  3. Put the sndwhich together; then you put it in the hot pan  but becareful not to burn them; make sure to flip them over lol!.

  4. Ya I Do Like A TeaSpoon Of Butter If You Making Only One

  5. Yeah, you have to use butter or oil. Or at least cooking spray.

Are you trying to make it low fat? If so, you can toast it in a toaster oven without any butter or oil.

  6. Yes, that makes your bread brown and keeps it moist.

  7. take a tbst of butter let it melt in the pan before ploping in the sandwich

OR you can butter the bread first

  8. Not if you butter the bread (at least on the sides that touches the pan).

  9. first you have 2 pices of bread you put the cheese in the middle then you butter the two sides of the bread the out sides of teh bread is what you butter you dont have to put butte ron the pan if you put buter on the bread

  10. I butter the bread slices.

  11. Butter the outsides of the bread.  Grilled cheese is also great with a slice of tomato in between 2 slices of cheese.  Be careful, the tomato will be very hot.

  12. Either put butter on the outside of the bread, or put some in the pan and let it melt.

  13. butter 1 side and set it in hot pan add the  cheese butter 1 side of the 2nd piece of bread and put on top of cheese butter side up

  14. you could. however, i butter the bread slices (both sides)

    i (L) grilled cheese!

  15. Nope, not the pan. That's actually worse because you melt the butter then let the bread soak it up instead of putting it directly on the bread; It's harder to get the bread toastier.

Butter both sides of each bread put a slice(or more) of cheese, sandwich them then put it in the pan let it brown as much as you want depending on how toasty you want the bread. Presto a perfect grilled cheese sandwich :)

Note: The reason I suggest buttering the insides of the bread and putting the cheese is because when you eat it the cheese isn't so much absorbed and stuck to the bread.

  16. NO WAY!!.. just on the outside of the bread. sometimes you can change up the insides like cheese and ham, or bacon or something extra can be exciting and flavorful.

  17. Just butter the outer sides of the of bread and plop it into the pan.

  18. Spray butter. Try different cheese for a new type of sandwich.

  19. No, just on the bread.

  20. you can butter the pan or the bread...i prefer to use a non-stick spray... :) :)
