When you make a sandwich...

Do you put butter on it first and then mustard ( or whatever) or no butter at all?

Depends.  For an egg salad sandwich, butter.  For beef, fresh, corned or pastrami it's mayo on one side and mustard on the other.  For Marmite (mmmm), it has to be butter.

Butter goes on bread or toast....not a sandwich!  Mayonaise or mustard goes on a sandwich with a meatfiller or eggs.

ive never heard of putting butter on a sandwich not put in the oven... idk...maybe its just me...

I only put butter on the outside if I'm grilling it (like a reuben or something.)

No butter on the inside.  I mean, I'd probably like it, but I don't.

My dad eats peanut butter and butter sandwiches--ugh.  I loves me butter, but that's disgusting.

Depending on the sandwich I use either miracle whip or mustard and never both at the same time .

No butter. I do mayo, then meat and cheese and lettuce (or whatever), then I do salt and pepper, put the top slice of bread on, and I'm done!

If you want to use butter put it on first. It helps keep the bread from getting soggy from the mustard. Mayo does the same thing.
