  1. is your trim already white?  are your doors white or stained wood?  Its totally your preference, but I would paint my trim and doors (if they were white to begin with) an accent color or contrasting color to set them off from the walls.  otherwise, i think your room will look kinda blah.  white makes taupe POP!  semi-gloss white is even better.  hope you used a scrubbable paint since its your childs room you are painting!  good luck!

  2. i say Keep the closet doors The same Coler

  3. I generally paint the doors the same color as the trim.

In a larger room this would be good to add contrast to the larger wall colored areas.

In a kids room, you might even want to paint the door a totally seperate color to add more color.

I just painted my babies room yellow on top, green on the bottom, and the trim is a dark wood color.  It looks rather cool.

Best of luck in whatever you decide.

  4. It's totally preference.  I prefer to have the doors match the trim otherwise you have an outline of a door.

  5. Usually the doors and trim are the same color which is usually a different color than the walls.

The walls are usually a matte while the door and trim around them are a semi-gloss.

I think it looks better to have the doors and trim different from the walls, but it's really up to you.
