When you pick up food for take out at a restaurant ...?

Chilis, TGI Fridays, Applebees, ect ... is it customary to leave a tip?

i would say not because essentially the tip is for the waitors trouble of caring for you throughout the meal.

I feel that if they bring it out to you you should tip. If you go inside and pick it up no. This would be the same as ordering a pizza for pickup or delivery.

its nice but all they do is put it in a bag.  so if you do dont tip like you would if you ate inside!

most of the time i tip but not that much maybe at the most like 10%
