  1. No.

If you play beach you don't wear shoes, there are special socks you can buy but I wouldn't suggest it.

Grass, you can wear a good light pair of cross trainers but if the grass is good then i'd go without.

  2. In beach/sand, no way!  Shoes make me feel like I am running in waist high water.  I play barefoot.

In grass (there are a lot of grass tournaments btw), I have specific sneakers that I wear that have good grip.  Look at the sneakers and make sure the grip is designed for both lateral support and moving forward and backwards.  I once wore sneakers that were only good for forwards/backwards and any time I had to go for a ball that was off to the side, I fell badly.

Most places will not let you wear cleats and they would probably be bad for you since they are not really designed to jump in.

  3. When you play in the sand, you can wear things called sand socks, they have a grip on the bottom and they prevent you from sinking. They come in almost any color. There are many brands. check out  http://sandskins.com/products.html for more info.

  4. on the grass i wear the same shoes indoor

    and ive never palyed beach

  5. with beach volleyball. no.

  6. It is optional. Volleyball outside is usually only played on sand. So, you can play barefoot, usually just for people who are playing for fun. If you are serious, then you can pick up some runners, or water shoes. Something light works good if there are shells and c**p on the beach.

  7. It is actually on you if you don't want want to wear shoes like if its on sand i usually don't but you can if you want!=]
