  1. Not without damaging the brakes (you'll notice the familiar smell of burning rubber). A manual transmission vehicle does this nicely.

  2. haha no it does not you are just gonna either do a burn out or get launch in to something, if you got the car on any wear besides neutral or park you have the trans engage so i would not recommend you doing so unles you know what you are doing and you know your car (engine, trans, brakes) can take it

  3. No it does not disengage.  Yes you can engage the engine and the brake at the same time.  This is really bad for your car I wouldnt recommend it.

  4. no.......PICK ME FOR BEST ANSWER

  5. no it doesnt...you can rev but youll be fighting the brakes.

  6. No, but it does shift down and it does slip. The engine running at a lower RPM put very little torque to the engine through the tranny.

  7. yes you can and yes it does disengage when you put your foot on the brake the engine will rev a bit but not very much just tried it on my car

  8. No> the engine does not disengauge from the tranny>>its not a good idea at all to tear up your brake rotors while in drive. Just use the car normally. Dont rev the engine then put it in drive-wait til the revolutions per minute slow down to less than a thousand RPMs. Be safe. Be cautious. Be nice to the car

  9. Nope.  It's common in racing from a standing start to put one foot on the brake and the other on the gas.  At the race start, you release the brake.

I've been driving a stick so long, it seems pretty automatic.  So when my foot is on the clutch or the brake, the other foot automatically comes off the gas.  I don't think about it.
