When you register your Ipod..?

when you register do you have to pay

it says select payment method but some people say you dont have to pay..?

You have to select your payment method (but you don't actually pay to register the ipod.) so that if you buy any songs from itunes then the money that you have spent will be taken from your credit card. (Or whatever card you have chosen to pay with.)
