When you rent a room in a hotel/ motel do they have to get ur name down??

okay me and some of my high school friends are parting our own ways and going off to different colleges in a couple weeks. before we do though we wanted to have a little get together. we were planing on renting a room and having some fun. theres guna be a stripper and some underage-drinking lol. basically a big going away party for all of us.

but say if i rent the room do they have to get my name down if i pay with cash???????

cuz almost every party in this town gets popped by the cops..i dont want to be the one held responible for having this party.
