  1. My husband worked for a rental company for years.  Your contract should tell you if the item is new or used.  But, if you can, don't rent.  You pay three and a half times what the item is worth. And if you had ever seen the "creatures" that crawl out of something that has been picked up from some houses you wouldn't have anything from a rental store in your home.

  2. I rented my W & D when I lived in Houston, TX and both times they were brand new, still had the blue sticky stuff over everything.

best bet, just ask them before you rent it, this way you aren;t disappointed..

  3. I've never heard of this company before, but looking at the website the pictures looked like new ones.  HOWEVER you need to read the contract very carefully and see what it specifies.

Having said that, you need to keep in mind that these furniture and appliance rental contracts are highly profitable for the company and tend to take advantage of the consumer and end up costing you many times the value of the appliances over the long haul.   For the $$$ you are going to pay to rent them over the course of a year, you could probably come close to purchasing them outright.

If purchasing a new set outright is not financially feasible for you, consider purchasing a fairly new but used set from Craigslist or via the classified ads of your local paper...it might be a much better deal for you.

  4. When I rented mine they were brand new.  At the end of your lease period you can keep renting, buy them, or give them back.  They also have a store where they sell rental returns.

Have you considered getting your own though.  Most places have reasonable terms for payments, then they are yours.  I just always hated giving them money, as much as buying them and ending up with nothing.

  5. when i rented a washer it was almost new. It really liked like great and ran good.
