When you return something you ordered online...?

do you still see that you ordered it on your credit card bill?

Yes, the initial order and the return will show on your credit card bill.  Some internet companies will show the website address on your credit card statement, others may just show the name of the website. Your credit card statement should also show where the internet company credited back the amount you spent on your credit card, this will show up on your credit card statement.  You can also call your credit card company and tell them to send you a printout of all of your transactions within the time frame that you made the purchase and then when you returned it. Yes, the charge goes through to your cc when you pay for the item.  Later, when you return the item, a credit goes through to your cc.  Both the charge and the credit should show on your itemized statement.
