  1. I only say it when I mean it.

  2. Not all the times

  3. In my country and culture, love is seldom expressed with so many words.

  4. Me too -- I never say it unless I mean it.  Generally only with my husband and children on a regular basis.

But then, I'm British, and hence stereotypically reserved :)

I also sign letters, "Love, Kate" only if I really mean that I love the person (my family, very good friends, etc.).  Otherwise it's "take care" or "talk to you soon."

One thing that I find interesting is when couples are talking on the phone and absently say, "Bye -- love you" at the end of the conversation.  But it sounds more like "byeloveyou" -- an expanded form of one word "bye."   It is almost as if it has lost its meaning, because it's so automatic.

  5. I never say it unless I mean it. but people just throw that words but I never say ILY back..because they don't mean it.
