  1. Yes, you can say it alone or by yourself provided you really understand what are you saying and know perfectly well what to do after this testimony. In this case, it is advise to do your Shahada infront of other Muslim(s) who are knowledgeable in Islam. They can teach or provide you informations on your duties as a new Muslim, and can remind or support you to be strong in faith.

  2. you can say it either way

  3. Of course! The best praise is when you are alone with nobody else around. It is a time when you are most sincere, and there is reward in reciting "Laa Iliaha Ilallahu Muhammadur rasoolulah" - "There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Muhammad is Messenger of Allah"

EDIT: Actually, sorry I took your question in the wrong way. I thought you meant simply reciting Kalimah Shahada. But for what you are talking about, you have to have 2 witnesses by you when you say Shahada. Go to the Mosque with any Muslim friend you have to make it easier for you Inshallah, and the Imam there will be happy to help

  4. whenever , where ever & however u want..

just be washed and have a shower or performe widuu

    always love & peace..

  5. Salam for you my dear friend Saying shahada for anyone who will conv

ert to Islam should be performed loudly by him/herself in front of an imam and witnesses. But saying shahada for starting salat we can say it alone and by him/her self softly or in his/her heart only.If a muslim hear an azzan (salat calling) we should follow the words of azzan (in this azzan is included shahada) and after hear hayya ala salat(let us praying) and hayya ala fallah(let us to be winner or happy) we should say la haula wa la quata illa billahi aliyul aziim (no power except from Allah)

  6. yes u can

wow i am impressed by ur curiosity over islam

  7. i dont know where do these people issue fatwas

but you must have two witnesses

  8. it is better to have witnesses, but if there is no way to do this, then on your own is sufficient.

    about taking the shahadah

  9. yes, alone and by yourself is very enough

Islam is between you and Allah

  10. Sister, you can say shahada alone too because its your personal matter But once you are muslim, you would like to go for Umrah too, you would like to get married too. Now the birth certificate or whatever you have indicates that you are a non-muslim and that would not allow you to enter Makkah or Madina. for that you need a prove that Now ALhumdulillah you are a Muslim. You have to follow some legal procedures. and its really good to say shahadah in presence of matured person, just as witnesses for you to be on the safe side again just for the legal process. thats it.

Otherwise its between you and Allah and once you are muslim, you should be saying out that proudly that Alhumdulillah I'm a Muslimah ~! :)
