Charles Osgood.  He always wears a bow tie when hosting Sunday Morning on CBS.  I like bow ties so I would go classy and smart.

I'm thinking that I'm looking in the mirror - I wear suits and bow ties all the time - I think I look classy and smart but I've also been called nerdy and other names too!

I think classy and smart. I love guys in bow ties and if I could talk my husband into wearing one I would. Our CO is a young guy, in his 30's and always wore bow ties and I thought they looked great.

Unless he is wearing it for a formal event (wedding, gala,etc.) then it's completely unnecessary. I know this guy who wears bow ties with suits and he looks so ridiculous because his bow tie never matches his suit. He doesn't own a nice suit so he always wears his bow tie with a mismatched combo (example: blue jacket - khaki pants) which makes it worse. Maybe if he could keep a job and afford to buy new suits that matched maybe it wouldn't look so ridiculous!

I think of the song "Putting On the Ritz".... which is quickly followed by memories of my mother-in-law dancing drunk to that song at my wedding. oy....
