Me, I congratulate them. For them to be putting the effort into losing weight is great, in my opinion.

What do you do?

  1. I don't say anything, and I would never make fun of them.

  2. A little of both. As a fat guy, I can discriminate. Here's a short play:

Me:[sees fat guy on treadmill jiggling around and sweating] *chuckle* Geez, I hope he doesn't bust a hole in that thing.

My alter ego: Yeah, but at least he's trying.

  3. both l0l

  4. Mostly, I silently congratulate--it's great that they've decided to work on their weight and improve their health. But, and this is petty I admit, sometimes I'll see someone so huge I just have to say to myself, "uhh, just when did you notice you had a problem?"

  5. neither just because they re big doesnt mean they are not fit. A skinny person can be unhealthier than a bigger person.

  6. I'll admit it, I think its kinda funny. I'm glad that they are making an effort, don't get me wrong, but, I'll still goof on it.

  7. I personally congratulate them. I'm plus size myself. I'm a size 16, so when I see a heavy person in the gym it makes me feel comfortable to know that there are out people out there fighting the same battle with weight as myself. And I've lost over 30lbs and still going. So when I see one on the treadmill or cycle I sit on the one next too them. Because sometimes people will sink rhythm with other for motivation. If I can do it, so can they, and if they can do it, so can I. I love my BBW and BBM (Big beautiful women and men). Because we all have the same goal in life, to get in shape, get healthy and get s**y! Stand aside Type 2 Diabetes!

  8. Congratulate them.  I find it highly immature to make fun of somebody who is trying to improve themselves; and those that make fun, you ain't all that.

  9. nothing cuz if u laugh ur an *** if u congratualte its ok but not to their face cuz then they will think ur making fun of them....cuz their fat

  10. I would probably publicly compliment them on how good they look.  At least they are making an effort to get better.  There are some skinny *** people who smoke cigarettes or do other drugs to stay skinny.  At least those large people are doing it the right way.

  11. It makes no difference, you are judging them either way.  Why do you feel like you have to say something  ... to anybody.. about anything.?  Does it subconsciously make you feel better about yourself?   You must feel as if you are in a superior position or you wouldn't even notice them or think to have comment.  It's condescending at best.

  12. I don't say anything. Because either way, it probably embarrasses them. When I do commend a person like that at the gym, they sort of shrug it off and get very irritated almost to say "thanks for humiliating me."

  13. congratulate them!!! they are trying everyone is not gifted with a great body

  14. um, i dont make fun of other people for putting in the effort to make a change for themselves.

  15. I congratulate them and encourage them to keep on doing it.

  16. silently congratulate them
