What does it mean ( or )is the significance when the horse has;

1,) all 4 hoofs on grond standing

2). with 1 leg off the ground

3). 2 legs offt the ground

It has to do if they died in battle, was wounded in battle, or died a death after battle.  It's actually one of those urban legends.

The only significance is what the artist wanted it to look like. The connection to how that person died is an urban legend. Check Snopes.
