My friend tried out for a movie,

but she didn't get the role cuz she was chinese

and i know, its prolly cuz the movie doesnt have any chinese people in it

but i keep thinking now, since im chinese too, when other people see

chinese people, do they think of us as, "those people from china" or normal canadians/americans like them?

its kinda driving me crazy thinking about it,

so im asking for other peopls opinions

  1. Hey we're all people for goodness sakes. Everyone just wants a life and by the goodie tree I'm okay with that.

  2. I live in Canada and it is very diverse here I would treat a Chinese person just like I would treat any other person. I do not judge someone I do not know if I was to meet a person from China I defiantly wouldn't be like oh they're from China I don't want them around.

  3. I tend not to look at people as their race, or refer to them by their race. I have never started a story with " Yeah, and there was this Chinese guy." The only time I have used that term is when picking up Chinese take away. Other than that, they are just Canadian.

  4. I was born in China and now I'm a Canadian citizen and I consider myself white. So there.
