Hope, Freedom, Opportunity? Or something else.

I understand that not all the people who answer this are going to have 'warm fuzzy feelings' towards the USA, I just ask that you try to be respectful in whatever you choose to say. Thank you!

  1. I just think of the USA.

    :)

  2. Cowboys

  3. I think of freedom and opportunity that in other parts of the world are only a far away dream. I also think of the classic American Dream. If you work hard you can accomplish anything. While other countries might hate us, the fact remains this is the best place to live in the world. Our politics are not always righteous, but while others critique they need to look at their political representatives, cause they have as much influence as we do, almost none.

  4. Communism.

Because the USA is slowly turning into the USSA. Like the communists, we invade countries for their resources, rack up massive war debts, censor thoughts (e.g. hate crimes), make it illegal to defend yourself, encourage abortion and homosexuality to control the population, and redistribute wealth from the middle class to the people who didn't earn it.

  5. Yes I see freedom and opertunity and I also see a big soup pot.

  6. I  am  reminded  of  all  the  brave  American  troops  who  have  given  their  lives  for  our  country  and  for  our  freedom.  It  saddens  me  that  some   Americans  these  days  care   very  little  about  how  much  the  noble  soldiers  have  sacrificed  for  us.  I'm  referring  to  all  the  Iraqi  troops,  the  Gulf  War,  Korean  War  and  World  War  II...

  7. Only if you have seen it while in another country you'll really know what it means.  While here, under it's protection, many just take it for granted and others have the audacity and stupidity of looking at it with scorn.  But when you travel abroad, especially if you have to live in another country, as it happened to us, when you find yourself in front of the USA embassy and see the flag, it takes your breathe away, and then you realize what really means to be homesick to the point that all you can think of is to take the first plane back home.....

  8. Stars, stripes, and Francis Scott Key.

  9. Distrust

  10. Honestly nothing not to be offensive but i think when most people just take a look the don't think about anything unless they fought in a war or are doing the pledge of allegiance or something like that im sorry if it offends anyone but thats just my opinion.

  11. George Washington

  12. hmm mixed emotions. For myself happiness and freedom, which doesn't happen for others.
