On the menu is an item that say "Soup and Salad". When I went up to order I didn't see anything that said Salad Bar. So I asked the girl about it

"How much is it for just the Salad Bar? Can I get that?"

"We have the Soup and Salad. Its 4.99"

"Is it just the Salad Bar?"

"Its the Soup and Salad. You don't just get the Salad you get soup as well"

"But is that the Salad Bar (motioning toward the bar)?'

"Yes, its the Soup and Salad."

I ordered. She walked away shaking her head.

"Soup and Salad" usually means ONE soup and ONE salad. I think what I ordered when I ordered the "Soup and Salad" was a buffet meal at the salad bar but I wonder. My friend with me said the girl was alittle confusing. The waitress heard me complaing about the episode. When I asked my waitress for another Salad plate she gave me some wierd small plate. Was she just trying to keep me happy? Does Western Sizzlin even serve just a Salad Bar (with soup)?

  1. well there is a reason why she is a waitress at the place while you are the customer LOL

i've had similiar experiences at sizzlers hahaha

waitresses can be very rude and also very stupid LOL

not that i am saying all are, but some definitely

  2. Many restaurants have a high employee turnover and servers may not have all the answers. I would suggest if a wait person, hostess or cashier does not appear to know the answers ask to speak with a manager. It is there job to inform their employees.
