  1. When you list something on ebay you can check with the shipping wizard.  Be careful with that because sometimes it is wrong.  I have found out first hand.  Another thing you can do is pack the box or envelope and take to post office to see how much it weighs to give you a more accurate price.  Another option is to look at the same type of item and see what others are charging for shipping.  And you can always use a priority envelope that is 4.80 for 4 lbs.  I hope this helps.  I is kinda hard in the beginning but, you will get it.  Oh, also, you may want to add a couple of dollars for gas to post office and materials like tape and boxes or envelopes.  Good Luck.........

  2. well if your in canada, you go to canada post website and get  price quote. you just put in the dimensions of the parcel and it tells you a quote.so id think they  have the same thing in the states. or some people just quote a high price, that way they make a lil extra on a low sale.

  3. you could package it up and go to the post office and get an estimate. They will be unable to tell you the exact amount with out a zip code. Or weigh it and measure and check on usps.com or ups.com (or the place that you plan to ship from).

Another idea is to find a flat rate box through usps.com or at your local post office, that will cost the same no matter how much it weighs or where it is going.
