  1. If someone asks you about it, treat it as though they asked you about the weather--the more you emphasize it the more others will pick up on it. Answer something like, "Oh, yeah, well, I did chem last year, so I'm doing physics now. So not a big deal."  In fact, you'll probably have more opportunity to make friends in classes because you'll have similar interests. (OK, I also have to say that if you're happy with yourself your spirit will shine through, which sounds hokey but I promise is true.)

Check out www.hoagiesgifted.org. This site has a lot about grade skipping.

    p.s. You're going to be great :)

  2. If your skipping a grade in highschool your friends will still be in the building and at lunch and stuff. Why are you skipping a grade? Taking algebra 2 as a freshman is the same as a sophomore, you know. You can take the same classes you would if you skipped but you can graduate and do everything with your class which is socially very helpful

  3. If I were you I wouldn't skip grades just take advanced/honor classes. That's what I've been doing I wanna enjoy my years of highschool not rush them.  You might see your friends in the hallways but not as much since you'll be in diff classes. I guess if you do skip grades try to be humble when they ask you about it and always be super nice. As lonng as you don't act like your better than everyone else they should accept you.

  4. Yea, if you have friends who you went to school with already chances are you will still see them around at lunch and after and before school plus in the hallway. I was suppose to skip two grades, in the fifth grade they realized that I was on a tenth grade reading level, but chose to stay behind with my friends. It all depends on what you want.

  5. You have many opportunities to make and keep friends. There is no reason that you can't keep your present high school friends./

  6. Well usually its not a problem, because there's really not much of an age difference.  Heck when I was a senior in high school I had friends that were freshmen and sophomores.

If you skip alot of grades though it may make finding friends harder.  At my school we had this genius kid.  He was like 12, but he was a junior when I was a senior.  He didn't have any friends since he was so much younger, but he was also an egotistical jerk.
