  1. And I find myself using a different language a lot of the time to

    He seems to understand though

My voice doesn't change much because of him, but more the language calls for it

Though I do baby him every now and again

And when I do I use a completely different voice

  2. Yup. I have my kitty voice and my people voice. i don't know why, I always wouldn't do that.

  3. yes. i know it sounds weird but i just do it automatically. Most people i know do it too. but y do u ask?????

  4. Yah, it's called CRAZY PERSON TALK.

  5. yeah i sound dumb

  6. No,  I talk to all my pets in the same voice,  as I talk to my kids that are grown now and when they were babies.  No need to act and sound silly.

  7. Always!  My fiance makes fun of me know that he lives her with us.  He tries to make the voice too, but it doesn't work.  I don't think my cat would respond if I talked to her normally!

  8. Part of the time I talk to him normal, the other part... not so normal.

See, my cat is fat and dumb and just really funny and weird, so a lot of the time when I talk to him I use this really loud, high-pitched, just plain annoying voice. He doesn't care either way.

  9. Yeah, I use entirely too much baby talk with them and so does my boyfriend.  They're our children.  Fluffy, little kids who don't need money for college but do need me to clean up their p**p for the rest of their lives.

  10. Yes, I use this voice thats like a "Coochy coochy coo" type voice you use with babies. My cat seems to respond greatly to that and gets happy alot when I use it.

  11. yes & it bugs my sister

  12. I talk to my cats in the same voice, but I use different tones for each cat (I've got 4). For example, I use a softer tone for my Tonkinese, Frank, because he's a bit skittish and will run if I'm loud. I use normal tones for the others, and I can be loud with our Tabby, Bonzai, because he's used to hearing my husband be loud! :)

  13. yes i use a baby voice...i think we all do....maybe its our mind telling us "hey if you speak this way they can understand you better" haha

  14. it depends on what i am saying to him! My cat and I are pretty much best friends so i've kind of started talking to him like hes a person lol.

  15. I usually talk to her just like I talk to people.  I talk to my bird in the sing songy voice.

  16. Yes I do but it all depends. I have 3 different tones of voice.

    1)  When I first got my cat I did start to talk to her with a low pitch voice. As if I was talking to a new born baby. I usually use this tone when I come home from anywhere, when we wake up or when she does something cute.

    2) I also speck to her as if she was a regular person.  I tell her all my problems and she looks at me. It funny how she meow's back to me everything I talk to her( as if she was talking back to me).

    3) When she does something bad I do get loud with her and she know it because she will hide and not come out for a while.
