  1. Man, I'm still climbing the wall at three months, though it's much easier/more manageable than it was at two weeks. The fact that you've gotten to two weeks is a very good sign -- people who can have a higher chance of long range success. It will just get easier from here on out. As to the long term, I've heard a year or two, though as someone said you may have the occasional craving forever. Which may just be life without nicotine. It is, after all, a pleasurable drug.

  2. ive quit smoking for 2 weeks too yay haha but try keeping yourself occupyed alot and try to skip things where ud have a cig doing like instead of going on break and smoking go get a decaf coffee or something. (btw caffine and sugar increases cravings)

  3. Congrats on getting through 2 weeks!  keep up the good work.  Personally, I found that I was craving cigarettes for at least 5 months after I quit.  This time, I went to the doctor and got a prescription for Champix (I believe it's called Chanix in the US) and it works great and I have had absolutely no cravings at all.

My advise is to switch up your routine.  At times when you usually smoked, do something different.  Once you get past 1 month, it's usually much easier to deal with.

    Best of luck!

  4. I have spoken to people who quit multiple decades ago, and they still get hankerings for a smoke!  Sometimes only in their dreams. Let's face it:  There is nothing quite like smoking.  You will remember it for the rest of your life.  Day by day is the trick, keep at it.  Find a crutch if you think you might slip.  The electronic cigarette is the best.

  5. Prolly around 6 years or more...I know many people who heavily smoked and quit for many years and they say that they get cravings once in a while.  After around 4 months, you will be fine to be at the bar, or around other people that smoke.  But for the most part your always going to get that craving, but don't worry!  They pass.

  6. I quit 5 years ago and still have cravings.  I dont think the cravings ever really go away they just get easier an easier to resist

  7. good job, your a strong person...unfortunately the craving may never go away but as time goes by you will feel better and not feel the urge. good luck :)
