  1. I just get them to wear their swimmers under their clothes, then they can just take their clothes off and they're in their swimmers!

I usually just let them dry out in the sunshine a little before we go, and they put their clothes back on over their swimmers.

They have a shower or bath when we get home.

Couple of reasons I do it this way -

    1)  They are notorious for losing stuff so it saves forgetting

something at the pool like their swimmers

    2)   Saves them having to be completely naked at a public place (even if there are changing rooms).

    :)

  2. Change at home.  I've never been to a pool with a respectable changing room/bathroom.

  3. How old are your kids? presumed there are more than one from your question. If he she is small take a small flat pack changing mat to line any changing table with. Many pools have family changing rooms. You will have to prepare them there or you run the risk of wet/dirty nappies on arrival. Older children can eaily change in changing rooms be careful the floor isn't slippy, jelly shoes are great for keeping them safe.  this is just all part of the experience. make sure you shower b4 and after even if its only a rinse til you get home. It's important to help them get used to changing etc away from home, or they may be timid when they have to do it with school etc. ALso it will allow you greater flexibility if you need to change them in changing rooms for any other reasons they will be used to it. In terms of germs cleanliness of the change rooms, you should think of it as germ socialisation! i'm not saying go out and rub litlle faces on the floor etc but, you cannot protect them for everything, and a little exposure builds their immune system.

Check out different local pools some may be better than others both in facilities and cleanliness.

Have fun relax is a great place to be taking you kids and giving them a skill for life x

  4. At home is easier.

  5. Home is just easier, then you don't have to bring more stuff with you!

  6. take their swim gear with them, they got dressing rooms in our pool centre.
