Question:

When you think about it, isn't Christianity polytheism masquerading as monotheism?

You have:

God.

Jesus.

Holy Spirit.

Satan.

God and Satan are a dual property, really. Is Satan just as powerful as God? Is that why there is so much bad in the world? It seems to me that God isn't doing much about that.

Also, there are these demi-gods called Saints and the Pope.

What's up man? Don't give me the 'but it's God in three parts' c**p. In Hinduism, all the gods are simply different versions of the one god, Krishna. Do you think Hindus are monotheists?

  1. No it's not.

    God is...

but manifest himself in multiple ways, but all are the same God.

Think of it as putting on the right outfit or clothing for a particular job, duty or function.

Simply stated that's all God does, he manifest in flesh or spirit as the job requires.

Why is this so difficult to grasp?  Or is it?

  2. no..

  3. No.

Satan was a created being.  he doesn't create anything.

Saints and popes aren't demi-gods.  They are humans who love God.

Jesus said "If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father."

He sent us the Comforter, or the Holy Spirit, to be with us when he was crucified.

He was clear about the three-in-one stuff.

    I believe Him.

  4. Ironically, it's those groups that claim to be Christian but which accuse the Church of being polytheistic who are, themselves, polytheistic! Consider the denial of the Trinity by the Jehovah's Witnesses. They have ended up with a Big God (Jehovah) and a demi-god (Jesus). Consider the warped idea of Christ's deity held by the Mormons. They have ended up with untold thousands or even millions of gods, and temple-sealed, tithe-paying Mormons hope to become gods themselves, receiving the worship of their populated planet! Come on! Who's kidding who?

This all stems from their failure to understand that the Trinity doctrine prevents polytheism by showing how all three Persons in the God-head were never created but eternally together, in tri-unity. And the fact that polytheistic religions all have their own trinities actually supports the idea that the Creator is far more complex than we can grasp. But Christianity remains unique in having dealt with this without falling into the sin of polytheism, which is condemned in the Bible.

  5. you are stupid..God has nothing to do with hinduism!

  6. The Hindu gods are a manifestation of Brahman, not Krishna.

And, your demi-god observation is not only incorrect, but dangerously close to being an anti-Catholic slur. Since when does Catholicism represent all of Christianity? That's almost as bad as the fundies who say it ISN'T Christianity.

Other than that . . . interesting observation. I'm sure it will p**s off a bunch of people. Well done, sir.

  7. It's not like they pray to the virgin Mary, or ask saints for protection...

    oh.. wait..

  8. God is able to rule form the heavens and send himself to kick satan's but all at the sametime. besides satan was a created being, an angel who fell and when Jesus took three days to be resurrected he saved all who were on the earth before and took the crown from satan, the war is over even if it does not seem liek it and if you still act liek the wra is going on then you never win and the devil does.

  9. Obviously, you stopped to think and forgot to start again.  In actual fact, no religion claims what you say.  It is interesting, however, that YOU seem to believe all that.

  10. Maybe a very strict form of loose polytheism.

hard polytheism: There are many gods who are not related.

loose polytheism: There are many gods, though ultimately they are all One God. (or Goddess)

  11. Your question shows you,who you are what you want, what you love or hate,If you don't like us,just ignore us.

  12. Of course it is. Even without the demi gods they have three gods.  I can hear a hundred explanations of how the three gods are really only one god but none of them make any sense at all.

  13. Only for those who cannot see beyond the physical.

  14. Pretty much it is and the only reason there are so few is Paul didn't have much imagination which is why he plagiarized from the Torah as well as every other religion he could find .

  15. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three "roles" of the same God, not 3 parts or 3 versions.  God the Father is the Creator, God the Son is the Redeemer, and God the Holy Spirit is the Guide.

Satan used to be the highest-ranking angel, but he tried to get God's power and become like God Himself. After this he was banished from Heaven with 1/3 of the angels who were on his side.  He is still below God, and still has to follow God's orders, but he hates God and hates Christians.

All born-again christians are Saints. All saved souls are equal.
