When you think of anthropology, what (non-human!) image comes to mind?

I know, this is weird. But what image(s) do you associate with anthropology, besides the obvious human being-shape? It's fine if it's abstract, just please explain! Thanks!

My ex-wife.  How could something that I thought was human be so evil and cruel.  It was like that Star Trek episode where the monster sucked the salt out of people and it made itself look like a normal human.

I am still having a hard time convincing myself that she is really a human being, or that I am.  How could I have come from a species that spawned that?

Do you know how to get a hold of Beowulf?  If she only looked like Angelina Jolene.  Rat farts.

The seven ancient wonders of the world comes to mind.

Of course various civilizations have their own representations, such as: jaguar, totem pole, hieroglyphics, rosetta stone,pottery, ancient tombs, burial mounds, artifacts, temples, cave paintings, Stonehenge, etc.
