Question:

When you took economics did you prefer micro or macro? Why?

I needto choose between one to meet a requirement but I can't pin point what the difference is! Help! I'm obviously looking for the least challenging one!

  1. I think Macro is more interesting but it depends on how much you like economics in general. Micro is the study of decisions that people and businesses make regarding the allocation of resources and prices of goods and services and Macro goes beyond this, Macro studies the behaviour of the economy, macro will give you a vaster understading about how an economy functions, when you read newspapers or watch the news about the economy you will find it easier to understand if you study micro. But if you dont like economics, i advise you to go for the easier one, in this case micro.


  2. Macro Rules...  Micro is for the bean counters.

  3. I much preferred Macro. But then, I had no intention of going into business. I just wanted to understand the world better.

  4. I took both and preferred Micro.  I found Macro very difficult and even hired a tutor after I didn't do well on the first test.  It paid off, I still got an A for the course, but it was a lot of hard work and hours for me to "get it".  For some reason, micro was much easier and I even enjoyed it maybe because I understood it better from the start.
