When I travel cross country I am always shocked how different people are from one US State to another. I am a strong believer in regional culture. People are so different in Kentucky than they are in New Jersey and so different in New Mexico than they are in Florida.

Do you agree, or think people are preety much the same everywhere in America.

  1. depends. I can go from one southern state to another and not tell a lot of difference. HOwever, last year I moved from AR to NE and OMG, what a difference. People in the south were so nice and well mannered.. they are so willing to help you if you need it (most of them).. In NE, they were rude, self centered and did not care if I lived or died. Maybe it was because the majority of the people there are government employees who thought thy were better than everyone else (and told me so). Even the restaurants and places were rude. I walked into a cracker barrell and as I was ready to leave, one lady commented to another lady "she is not going to pay that bill" RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.. what a jack***.. I was in a domestic violence shelter there and you would not believe their attitude..  I was totally amazed.. The phrase "southern hospitality took on a new name"..
