When you try to use a card that has been reported as lost or stolen, what appears on the atm?

I have reported my ATM as lost or stolen but I do not know if my bank is stupid enough to tell the person who has it that i have reported it as lost or stolen already. what usually comes out or appear in an ATM if the card being used is reported as such? can anyone please tell me? thank you.

I can't remember exactly what it says, but it is different. It doesn't just say declined. When I worked at shell if the message showed up, we were to call the manager and say like yah, the register is giving me a code whatever can you come fix it? Then by the code the manager would know to call the police. Because they want to catch the people, so they don't tell them it's stolen we just play it off.
