  1. If you have mould on walls and ceilings you obviously have a bad case of damp, the main thing here is, was the damp there when you moved into the property and was your landlord aware of it. If it has occured since you moved into the property, have you made your landlord aware of the problem, and if so has he taken any steps to rectify it. If the answer to those questions is NO, then it may be the best idea for you to clean it off before you vacate, or he could retain your bond money to put it right.

  2. Of course!

  3. In the "moist" areas of the house, you do.  So bathrooms have to be mold-free. /

  4. My answer would be yes.  Ask yourself if you would like to move into a house only to find that the previous owners/tenants hadn't cleaned it off.  I would also particularly if you are a tenant moving out because the landlord or rental agent may bill you for any cleaning expenses.

  5. You are to leave the premises in the same condition it was in when you moved in, less normal wear and tear.

Thus, say a bath room had mold on the walls and ceiling when you left, but it was clean when you move in.  The landlord could have it cleaned, and bill you for cost of cleaning.
