  1. By looking over your shoulder. Looking out your mirrors, you may not see everything, so you must look over your shoulder.


  2. huh?  How can you change lanes without seeing if someone's behind you?  Turn your head around for a split second.  

    How about opening your window and peak out?  I also have special mini mirrors that point further out to the sides of the car.  Would htat be helpful for you?

  3. You cannot see another vehicle in the blind spot on many vehicles....

  4. You should adjust your mirrors, so that by checking your mirrors or turning your head, you have no blind spot.  There are little stick-on wide angle mirrors to eliminate blind spots.

    Or you can get backup cameras.  They even have triple cameras for motorhomes, etc. that have a camera on each side and one behind.
