When you wear a swimming hat. Are the hats strong enough to hold the water against to touch your hair?

Basically what i am asking is that when you wear those swimming hats and the come out after an hour or so would your hair be dry or a little wet or really wet?

It depends, there are two types of swimming hats you can get!

The thicker ones are more expensive and feel a lot nicer when putting them on!

The thiner ones are cheap but these ones always seems to keep my hair completely dry and no it doesn't smell of chlorine!

i use the sylicone caps and my hir is always a little wet.  Its not socked but it is wet.  and it does smell like chlorine.

all the caps do it make a slicker surface so you go faster.

its mainly girls that have the problem because they have so much more hair

I've found that they let the water in, but I was told that if  you wet your hair first the chlorine doesn't soak in so much

yes they are stong enough to keep the water from touching your hair.  when ypu put it on you might have to get the cap wet so that you can put ypur head in it. But other than that it wouldn't get wet.

They are basically designed for competetive swimming for speed etc. I'm sorry but there's not really much chance your hair would still be dry

They're called caps not hats. And yes your hair will be wet. It doesnt always keep the water out. Usually you need to get the cap wet just to put it on. But you're in the pool so you should know going in there that your hair is gonna get wet. I wear a cap everynight and everynight my hair gets wet. Sometimes the top of you hair like near your part at the top wont be wet, but the rest will.

Yep its quite wet and the smell is a cross between chlorine and the smell of the hat.

The swim cap just keeps your hair from getting in your eyes. Your hair will smell like chlorine. You hair will be just as wet if you hadn't worn a swim cap.
