  1. Under the couch and chair cushions in the living room.

  2. I found $20 in the back seat of a taxi cab.

  3. down the side of the chairs but I was not allowed to keep it

  4. No such thing as loose change in my house when growing up.

  5. In my special sock pony.

  6. Congratulations on finding that money. The only place that I ever looked for loose change or any money for that part at home was in my own bedroom. Money that was found in any other room in the house was not mine, it belonged to my parents. If I was to find it, I gave it to them.

Now if I was to find money away from home, it would more than likely be impossible to find the owner so I would keep that.

  7. My grandmother stayed with us for awhile and she always had a stash of change.  We didn't think of it as stealing when my sister and I would snitch a coin or two and run over to Keene's to get an ice cream or goodie.  They were always so glad when we came in.  I guess so.  They were some very old coins she was saving and when we got caught we were in big trouble as we should have been. . .darn older sister.  But if we did wrong, what about the guy that was taking those coins and never saying word about what they were.  A couple were even gold and he told us they were nickles.  I think my dad had a word with him but we weren't supposed to hear about it.  And that was the end of the free ice cream.

  8. Under the cushions in the couch.

  9. When I was growing up there was no such thing as loose change.  If I got any money, it was from selling bottles or maybe when I was older the Gold Bond or the S&H Green Stamps.  My parents needed and counted every penny.

  10. In the couch, of course.

  11. When I was a kid my mother would send me to the store to get 2 loaves of bread.  She would give me 25 cents and tell me to bring the change home and she knew how much change there would be.

I'm not saying we were poor but the church mouse lived at our house.

Trust me, a search for loose change at my house was a mission impossible.

  12. Horay for you Daiseymae, good food and extra money.

I used to look for extra change on my parents dresser and in the fields for soda bottles, you could turn them into the store for a couple of pennies.

  13. Definitely NOT in the jar where my dad kept change for his monthly poker night with my uncles. LOL

  14. Daddy's pants pockets.

  15. Did you go in and buy yourself a Bloomin' Onion?  Yum.

The side of the bed where my dad took off his pants was always good for a few pennies.  Mom had a drawer that she threw everything into, including coins she found around the house.  Of course chair and sofa cushions were always good.  Also, the floor of my mom's car always had a few cents under or between the seats.

  16. Good for you!

When I was a kid I don't recall having loose change sitting around. We asked Dad or our Grandmother. We could sell coke bottles though.

  17. In my Mothers couch after my policeman brother stopped by to visit.  Mother tried to make me feel guilty, she was good at that.

God knows I needed every penny I could find at that time in my life.

That's another story. Memories linger though. ~~~~

    Blessing to you. ~~~~

  18. Grandpa always took naps on the sofa, and his change would fall from his pockets.

  19. I used to find ginger bottles up the park, take them back to any shop and get the money on them

  20. under car seats or down the side

  21. I still do. I found £9($18) in my couch last week!

  22. Good for you!  That will buy a touch over a gallon of gas.  The only loose change when I was a kid came into my hand in the form of a dime once a week.

  23. Couch
