When you were thinking about getting pregnant...?

Question

what are the qualities you saw in your significant other in which you thought they would make a wonderful father?

And once you had a child together did they live up to your expectations? How were they while you were pregnant?

a few months ago a frined of mine had a baby.  my husband took pictures of the baby.  he also took a picture with the baby.  so he gets excited over babies.

all the men at the party was like "oh, i am not changing diapers" making jokes about it.  i asked my husband if he would.  he said "yes, why not. its my kid"   all the wives in the room was like "ah, that is so sweet". so, he showed he would care for his baby too.  

he also suggested that if i get pregnant, he will work 2nd shift so that one of us is always home with the baby.  no sitters for us! so he is worried about leaving the baby wiht someone already and thinking ahead.

last year when his sister had a baby, he noticed she was giving him a bottle. he whispered to me "i thought you were soppose to give the b***s the first few weeks because it was healthy" i was like ahh, he is thinking ahead of the health of his baby.    

he also gushes over other peoples babies/kids.  gushes in a manly way of course.

i never realized what a good father he would make.
