When your driving a car and you turn your front wheels do the back wheels move as well?

somewhat of a trick question.

in most instances, no, however, there are a number of cars, including the mid 80's honda prelude and the mitsubishi 3000GT that did indeed have 4 wheel steering.

However, on these rare 4 wheel steering cars, the rear wheels do not turn very much compared to the front wheels.

when you are driving, the front and rear wheels are "rotating". when you turn the steering wheel to the right, the front wheels turn to the right. the rear wheels do not help  the car to turn.
