  1. Towels work just fine. Just make sure you wipe all the droplets of water off. However, there are other types of cloths that are better at absorbing. But it really doesn't matter. After drying it, don't put your guards on, put a soaker on. Use only your guards when walking with your skates. If you put guards on blades when you're not using them, the blades might get rusted.

  2. ya but make sure it is draw and not to shaggy

  3. You can use a towel, it works fine.

  4. as long as your blades are dried, it doesnt really matter what you dry them with, just remember, if you dry them right after you take them off, they are still cold. so they will "sweat" or have condensation as they warm up, so make sure that water doesnt stay on the blade or they will rust, which can be very bad for you blades. also, the bottoms of your boat can also get water damaged [BAD!]. i would recommend buying a pair of skate soakers to absorb all of the water, which you can leave on you skates as long as you would like. they are really effective and convenient. heres is a link if you are interested in finding a cheap pair, or if you can sew or want to make your own this will give you an idea of what they look like::

  7. towel cool

  8. It is fine to use a regular towel to wipe off your blades and skates.  Some stores sell a chamois, but it's not necessary.

Most people use hand towels.  More importantly, dry off your skates/blades as much as you can when you're done skating and when you get home, take your skates out of your bag and let them air out so they can completely dry out.  Be sure not to leave plastic guards on your blades during storage as this will cause rust.  To protect your blades when they're not being used, get a pair of soakers to protect them.

    Good luck!  :)

  9. a towel is just fine. you just need something absorbent that will dry off your blades well. i would not recommend a paper towel or napkin because it wont dry off the blades well and will most likely ruin the sharpen and scratch up your blades. i would just buy a hand towel that doesnt shed fibers and make sure you dry off your blades well, even the parts connected to your boot. and after drying put on soft blade covers (that are also terrycloth material like a towel) to absorb any water you may have missed, other wise your blades will rust although it is often removed my friction from skating or by getting a sharpening
