My husband says in his sleep one night "I don't want to get caught" 2 days later he talks in his sleep again saying "Martha Martha are you seeing anyone else?" now we only know 1 Martha and she is married also. so whats up with this?

  1. If your only "evidence" is him talking in his sleep, don't worry about it.. dreams are funny things and for someone who sleep-talks, anything could pop out.. I've given directions for cutting up onions under the moonlight, and I've never done any such thing!  LOL..

"You gotta make sure it's a full moon.. then you go out in the field, and dig up an onion.. take your knife and cut it across, then across, but don't slice through... " LMAO.. wtf?  then I woke up and burst up laughing.. :)

  2. You know, I've had dreams about sleeping with people that I would never sleep with in real life.  It could be that he's attracted to her, or could just be something random.  I wouldn't make a big thing of it unless you find some other evidence.

  3. Though it may be he is having an affair, remember he is dreaming!  He may just be playing out some fantasy, or even being a different person in the dream.  Dreams are surreal and shouldn't be the only reason to condemn him.  Check his phone/cell phone call records, strange bills, recent change in behaviors, emails.  Look into it if you feel you must but keep an open mind

  4. he has a martha washington complex... i had it in my younger days too..he has a fetish for Georges lady.. its alright unless hes a necrophiliac

  5. Not a good sign. He may be having an affair.

  6. He is cheating on you..and his conscious is coming out in his sleep.

Talk to this MArtha chick! IMMEDIATLY!!

  7. We can't know what's up. You'll have to ask him about it.

I would bet you wonder if he's cheating...the fact is that maybe he is, or maybe he just dreamed of doing so. People dream and fantasize about all kinds of things, and not always with their partner. Something that goes through someones mind, isn't necessarily what has occurred...but at this point there is no way for you or us to know (only guess).

COMMUNICATE and see what happens. I would think if he was cheating, you'd have more signs than a name called while asleep.

  8. hes cheating for-sure!but i think he probably regrets it because its haunting him in his sleep.

maybe its time for some detective work on your man!

  9. It sounds like he is having an affair and in his deep sleep he is actually talking about it.If you confront him he will deny it all and say it was a dream!

  10. I think someone has some explaining to do.

  11. Could be anything. Its a dream. Maybe he ate some undercooked chicken.

You never had a weird dream b4?

  12. Our dreams combine verbal, visual and emotional stimuli into a sometimes broken, nonsensical but often entertaining story line. Many experts disagree on exactly what the purpose of our dreams might be. Are they strictly random brain impulses, or are our brains actually working through issues from our daily life while we sleep -- as a sort of coping mechanism? Should we even bother interpreting our dreams? Many say yes.

One interpretation of his dream is:

If he is dreaming of committing adultery with your friend that means he is feeling neglected by you.

Look for signs that he is cheating like:

    1) Strange phone numbers on his cell phone bill or the home phone bill that you cannot explain?

    2)   Has his appearance suddenly become important to him? If he has suddenly started purchasing new clothes, dressing nicely, and styling his hair, there may be something going on. Often, men will buy new cologne or clothing to look nice for their secret 'friend.'

    3)  Check the odometer on the car. If your husband normally drives 10 miles to work and then the other 10 miles back, then there should only be an extra 20 or 25 miles on the odometer. If there are more, especially if there is a lot more, casually ask about his day and then where he went. If he replies that he was at work like usual, then you know something is wrong. If he is lying about where he has been, then he's most likely lying about something else.

Just dreaming about another woman does not mean he is cheating other signs like the one I mention will tell you if he is cheating not just saying another woman name in is sleep.

But with STD that is a different story, if you were not cheating with another man that is a BIG sign that he is cheating.  You need to confront him and find out what is going on.

  13. Well, I can't say much but maybe you sould try asking him, even at first just saying did you know you sleep talk? And from there just ask him or tell him.

  14. I once talked in my sleep and said the name of a lady who I really liked and it was a movie star (Loni Anderson).  I really liked watching her on the old TV comedy WKRP in Cincinnati. (I'm dating myself).

Obviously I'm not having an affair with a movie star who lives thousands of miles away.  It's just that my subconscious was dreaming about her.  My wife woke me up yelling and screaming at me because I said another woman's name in my sleep.  The only thing I could think of in defence is that I am not responsible for what I say in my sleep . . . your mind (sub conscious) can do wacko things.

It was bizarre.  No different than a female liking  a male actor for example George Clooney and dream about him.

You husband could be up to other things but I want to point out the possibility of this being very innocent.  Maybe he is infatuated with this Martha and the subconscious got him dreaming . . .who knows?

  15. Hi

Before u tell him what u heard play it smart.  If u are going to cach him u need strong evedence and be sure about it.  get profetional advice on phycology related to dreams.  the thing i can tell u is that someone often talks in there sleep because they are worried or forgot something.  When u got ur evidence round up ur family and anounce ur suspitions.  then nail him.  The important part is to get all ur evidence before acussing him because he will be caught off  guard and wont have time to cover up.   the other thing is ur family wont point at u for ruining ur family.

  16. Sometimes dreams are just that. It could be that your husband is simply living an alternate life in his sleep with no real desire to make it real. Chances are he doesn't even remember his dreams.

I'd say let it go unless Martha is sleeping there in the bed with you two.

  17. regardless of everyone saying that he's cheating. It's not necessarily true. It could be that he might find her attractive even in the slightest and that he lets it out in his sub conscious whilst he's asleep. Plus it's just a dream. Now i'm not saying that it's 100% that he' not because no one here can be for certain..it could be many things. My advice is just confront him on the matter ask him what's up and just keep an eye on that Martha.

    Hope this helps.

  18. i think he is having an affair with martha try catching them..

follow ur husband when he leaves o go talk with martha

  19. Freud said that dreams (sexual dreams specificaly) are the way that subconcious satisfies our desires and wishes. My guess is he atracted to this Martha woman and dreams of having an affair with her adn that is why he talks abou it in his sleep.

I really don't think that he is having an affair with her, because if he was he would no tbe having this dreams about her.

  20. I certainly wouldnt be too happy with this but you cannot assume the worst. He could be having completely random dreams, he could have some deep rooted fantasy about her (not necessarily having an affair) and hes certainly not going to share that with you, or it could be th obvious. Only you can judge since Im sure there is much more to the story. But trust your instincts. And dont make any moves until you know FOR SURE, one way or the other.

    Good luck.

  21. It could be a number of things. Just ask him who Martha is and tell what he said. You know your man better than anyone else and will know if he's guilty of cheating. Of course even if he is and does not admit it, hearing him say another woman's name in bed does not mean he has cheated on you and con not be taken too seriously. Maybe he is attracted to this person and has thoughts about her occasionally. That is human nature. Sorry for your troubled thoughts!!

  22. whateva the details i would have slapped the s**t out of him and he woulda def woke up! he woulda been of gaurd and then you shoulda interrogated the h**l out of him. if he isn't cheating he's def thinking and DREAMING about it. That's crazy and i kno you are hurt. That b*****d.

  23. Chances are he is cheating, buy two voice activated recorders and a black box (Recording device) at Radio shack, place one recorder in his car where he won't see it and the other attach (with the black box) to any phone line in your home (Not necessarily the one that has the phone, any empty jack works fine) then wait and hear the full tapes, also check his cell phone bills, unless they work together there has got to be some calls!, confront him with the evidence, comfront her husband also (Gotta get her in trouble!), maybe beat them up a bit,  and then dump his sorry cheating butt, you deserve better and living like this is horrendous. If you need any more tips e-mail me.

  24. If you are not seeing any signs of an affair, such as him working late when he didn't before, guarding his cell phone, having "private" conversations, etc. then I wouldn't worry about it.  If he is having an affair, you will see behavioral changes.  If he is only making odd comments in his sleep it could be anything.  I've had dreams that were outlandish and seemingly came from nowhere... about things I wouldn't even think of doing or saying in my waking hours.  Sometimes a dream is just a dream.
