My bf told me that if an employer schedules you for three and a half hours, then they are suppose to pay you for 4. is that true? Should I go to the BBB if i'm scheduled for 3.5 hours but i get sent home after my boss calls me slow, talk **** about me and send me home early?

  1. I would make a complaint about the way he treated you and talked about you however, if they schedule you for 3.5 hours you are only going to get paid for 3.5 hours. I think your bf is smoking something!

  2. If you want to make a complaint about an employer's ethics, you should go to the labor board.  The Better Business Bureau is more for customers complaining about the business.

  3. Hourly employees get paid for the hours worked.

  4. You are usually only entitled to be paid for the hours you actually work....nothing more.

  5. No. Time cards are determined by mintues not rounded to hours.
