Question:

Whenever i do a split...

i get stuck about 3 inches above the ground

when i try to push myself the rest of the way it hurts to much

ive been trying for about 3 weeks and nothing!

  1. Im a gymnast and currently working on bein a cheerleader i used 2 have this problem also



    1- Stretch really good do 5 sit up's 5 push up  stretch ur leg muscels  and stuff like that

    2- when u try 2 push urself down more and it hurts immediatly stop if u dont u can pull a muscel  or rip a muscel

    3- 2 achive ur goal try doin ur splits a few times throught the day

          use these tips and they will help they did 4 me

      dont stretch 4 2 long cuz then u will have aching muscels and wont be abel 2 do it

  3. what i do is:

    hold them in the split position for at least 30 seconds every day a couple times each day.

    get an open wall and do this is its hard to explain tho

    kneel down like ur proposing. put the knee closest to the wall up against it and keep ur other in the same position. then lunge and hold that for 30 seconds and repeat with other legs.

    i was so far from my splits and i finally got them from doing that stuff within about 2-3 weeks

    then keep trying to do them ans stuff..

    ps. you stretch our ham string by standing or sitting with straight legs and trying to touch your toes...
