Whenever i have a dream about my ex-boyfriend,the next morning i have an email from him.What does this mean?

I can relate to this, although I really can't explain the meaning.  I would give anything to know the answer myself.  I had been dating this guy; and we were at the fun stage where you are discovering the feelings of bliss, trying to convince yourself to keep your feet on the ground long enough to determine if the feelings are real or fleeting.  It was mutual, but then, life intervened.

Suddenly, I was going out of my way to avoid him.  One day I reached an intersection and I had a sudden awareness that if I went the way I had intended, I would run into him.  What would make me think I was going to run into him in this big city??  He wasn't even from here, but from a city across the state line.  I made a split second decision - because that was all the time I had - to go the opposite way, which was taking the long way around to get me to my destination.  Whatever you want to call it, because of taking the longer, way out of the way route, I ran into him.  No, it didn't put me any closer to his territory, but deeper into the heart of my own city.  My heart fell to my stomach, and I just knew I was going to pass out right there!  I wanted to completely pretend I hadn't seen him, but NOooo, he couldn't allow that.  He pulled in to a parking lot and waved for me to follow.  I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but it wasn't.  All I can tell you for sure, is there is a connection between you.  You will find that whenever he comes to mind, an unexpected interaction will soon follow.

I hope someone can give you the answer that will satisfy your quest - I just wanted to let you know you're not alone : )

By the way, this was not a dream.  It happened in reality!

I Have heard many reports about this, you have a very VERY rare dreaming mind, these dreams you have are called recurring prophet dreams, meaning that you have a very slight foresight into the future and it being slight gives you the ability to keep it happening.

Well, as you can see by the 10 answers you have so far, this is a subject enveloped in mystery and controversy. Some say it is coincidence, others believe that you have "a rare dreaming mind" as one respondent so quaintly put it.

Mystery yes, but not coincidence nor "rare dreaming mind". You only have to read KMBelieve's posting to see that this phenomenon has NOTHING to do with coincidence. It is closer to that other opinion that maintains that you have psychic abilities. But then the term "psychic" is no explanation of what really happens in such cases that are under question.

I am afraid you will have to be prepared now for the most gigantic mental leap you will ever have to face in your entire life. I am saying this because you will have to make a 180 degree U-turn in your perception of TIME to come close to understanding this phenomenon. While Einstein has made a tiny dent into our notion that time is linear and fixed, he did not go nearly far enough to come anywhere near the ultimate truth. A truth, that will, once taken on board, dispel the mystery of the sort of pre-cognition you are wondering about.

To be fair to modern science I would have to write a full-blown dissertation on this subject; but that would be enough to make you look elsewhere for an answer to your puzzle. Instead of boring you with too many technicalities I will have to ask you to take what I say mainly on trust. I will elaborate a little after my crucial explanation how precognition works, but you need not worry about it if you can trust my most immediate information. Here it is:

Time is an illusion created in your waking brain. It makes you think that events happen step by step. In reality there is not such thing as TIME. Everything exists NOW! See, I told you that you would have to face the impossible.

The dreaming brain, and all dreaming brains of every human being and indeed all mammals and other animals, opens up the perspective to this all-inclusive NOW. It is a bit like this: When we are awake we are in one big room that has two dividing walls in the middle of it. We are in between them. One wall closes off the past, the other wall closes off the future. We can jump over the wall of the past by means of our memory of the past. But the wall of the future is unassailable, it remains firmly shut. There is a phase however, when this wall is punctured partially. This phase is our dream state. In our dreams we all can access some of the FUTURE which exists in the all-inclusive NOW. (Indeed, neither prophet nor psychic could make a valid and testable prediction if that which he is predicting did not already exist!)  

And now to your specific case of a dream about your ex-boyfriend that is followed in the day by an email from him. Your dream accessed the future fact that you will get an email sometime after you wake up. It’s as simple as that. And of course, just because it is simple, it is difficult to believe. (Just think, that email existed long before your ex-boyfriend could even write it, in fact long before he was even born!!!)

Time is an illusion that in fact diminishes the joy of perception!!!

Now let us solve the premonition of MKBelieve. Although she had not remembered the dream of meeting her ex in the parking lot of her city, that memory nevertheless IMPINGED on her waking consciousness as the moment of MANIFESTATION of that dream approached. This is how premonition works. It is a ‘cryptomnesic’ recall of a dream. (crypto refers to all things secret).

I have said that mammals and other animals dream too, and so they too, must have access to the future. In mammals we call that premonition or precognition INSTINCT! Science has marvelled at that capacity for ages, yet it has neither discovered the secret of instinct or precognition. In fact scientists ought to be slapped over their knuckles for many admit that their ideas came from a dream! Yet, were they able to make that simple connection? No! And why? Because they are still stuck in their outmoded perception of TIME; the outmoded belief that time is REAL!
