Whenever i playback a video on my canon digital video comcorder ZR500 ,i see line across the screen WHY?

Whenever i record video on my canon digital video comcorder ZR500 ,after i have recorded the video and when i am playing it back it appears there are grey lines going along the screen horizontally.Now i can't record any videos so please help me!

  1. Dirt accumulates on the recording/erasing head surface while tape plays & wears off on contact.

    Buy a tape cleaning cassette & clean heads - follow printed instructions. Tip: when using a new tape... fast forward, then rewind before recording.

    Test & see the results...If the stripes still appear, probably summers' just around the corner! ... then you'll have to bring your vcam to the nearest service shop.
