Whens a good time to visit Cedar Point?

Good time as in not being so busy, not having to wait a long time for rides and all that.

Me and my friend are planning on going May 16th, its a Friday. I believe its the 2nd weekend that the park is opening.

On 1 point I was thinking that it wont be busy since most people are in school, at work, or just generally not thinking about going to Cedar Point until Summer.

Then again I was thinking that most kids that are graduating will be visiting the park during break and what not also.

Has anyone ever went in the early weeks in May, and if so, was it terribly busy or not to bad? And were all the rides up and running?

Go early in May but check their event calendar to make sure that the Science Day for schools isn't then. Dress for cool weather as the lake can make for chilly rides on the coasters. I have also found GREAT deals at The Breakers Hotel the 1st week. (I can't "afford" to stay during regular season!)
