When`s best time to plant amaryllis seeds in UK?

Yes of course you get amaryllis seeds and i know you can germinate them in water but im just asking when would be best time to do this.

  1. There are no seeds to amaryllis ... you plant bulbs.  I suggest you get a book on amaryllis planting from the garden section of your nearest store.  Most people 'force' their bulbs in the late fall so they'll be blooming by Christmas, and I know how long that takes (6-8 weeks) but not how long it takes an amaryllis to grow naturally when planted in the ground, or int a pot outdoors.
