Whens can you get contact lenses

Question

ok ive had glasses all through school (got them start of prep) and im sick of them i have a couple of differant questions about my eyes.

q1. what is problem with my eyes ost people are eather short or long sighted but when i dont wear glasses everythings blury and isee doble when i focous my eyes to see clearly so whats rong with them.

q2. i want contact lenses but dont no what age u have to be. also want to no if they are bad for your eyes. i also hered that colored ones are bad for your eyes is that true? and can you wear them under water (i have to wear goggles cause i cant stand the feeling of water in my eyes so could i where contacts in water if im wearing goggles they would maybee get the tinyest it of water in them but thats it.

and i dont want to get laser eye sergary cause every one says you cant feel it but i feel sick just hering about it so id probably through up . >.<

lol so can i wear contacts long time or do i have to take em out permanetly after like 2 years

ok i wear contacts and t is the best thing i ever did. no more foggy lenses, no more rain collecting on my lenses. no more glares from lights.  without my contacts everything is blury to me as well. i guess it is simply because i cant see. lol. my prescription is like -5.00 or something crazy. you can wear them at any age but when ou are a child they act like your to stupid to know how to use them and be responsible with them they did that to me. as a child they give you a box of contacts (two if your eyes have different prescriptions) you take them out every night and you can use one pair for two weeks but i usually go over. they give you these kind because it teaches responsibility to the child. stupid right. when you get older or if your parents can talk them into it they can gie you some that you can leave in all day and night for like 30 days. and yes you can wear them in water. one time though i opened my eyes in the pool and one came out lol. so i wouldnt recommened getting water in your eye hope this helps. i love mine and wouldnt change it for the world. of by the way i use the kind that you take out everyday and i can do it in like 2 seconds without a mirror you become a pro eventually

i statred to wear color contacts when i was 12 and no way they are not bad i really like them and u can go under water with them but u really shouldnt becuz they could go up ur eye...that happened to me it doesnt hurt it waz just hard to get it out but u can wear them with goggles and u have to take ur contacts out before u go to sleep and put them in the cleaning solution so that they be clean and u wont get an eye infecton

to answer ur first question my eyes were like that too and it was becuz i sat in front of the tv alot and i had to wear glasses but like u i got tired of them and switched to contacts

there isnt really an age to get them its just that u have to be really responsible it really easy to lose ur contacts so it depends on how mature u r and if u can take care of them but after a while its like second nature using contacts
