  1. The cheapest season, as already posted, is during late hurricane season: September until November.  There are also usually some good deals in early December.

People will say that it is the "worst time to go", etc, etc.  However, I was on a ship that went directly through Hurricane Wilma in late 2005...and it was fine.  Don't get me wrong, the waters were very rough and the weather was horrible....but that only lasted for one evening/night.  The rest of the cruise was great.  Ships almost always navigate around storms/hurricanes.  Our ship could not go out around the storm because we were leaving Tampa the day that it was to hit Florida (so, it was very close to us).  I never, at any moment, felt unsafe or got sick.  I looked at it as an adventure...how many people have traveled directly through a hurricane on a ship??   :)

I have taken many, many cruises in the fall...and that was my only experience with inclimate weather.  I love renewing my tan right before the holidays!

    Happy booking!!

  2. Actually, some of the best deals are to be had the week before and the week after the "big" weeks, like Spring Break and Christmas/New Years.

  3. I think its a question of demographics and what you want. Do you have kids? Are you retired? are you a young adult looking to party? Do you have money or are you looking for the best deals? Is temperature a concern? Basically the families and children are all cruising in the summer, if you have kids this would be the best time. Remember this is high season and the cruises will be more expensive and the Caribbean will be HOT. April is the best month to go if you are looking to party in the disco. All the spring breakers are on board and the energy is high. If you are looking at the cruise as more of a cultural, relaxation trip, consider September-November and January and February. The passengers are older, its a little quieter and you can get better deals. Once you figure out what you want out of your cruise experience, it is a lot easier to decide when to travel. Then you have to pick your cruise line which is a whole different question for Yahoo Answers!

  4. Cheapest time is during hurricane season, have fun.

  5. rates start to drop once the kids are back in school.

  6. The cheapest season is the worst season.
